A SPECIAL INVITATION
As part of the Southeast Asia Canada Business Council Trade Mission to the Philippines, in collaboration with the Mining Association of British Columbia, TONY ARIAS, head of the Mining Segment of the trade mission, invites everyone to the inaugural Asia Pacific Forum on Mining and Minerals special session on the Philippines called: “PHILIPPINE MINING AND MINERAL INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES.”
Included in the Philippines advantages is a landmark Supreme Court ruling in December 2004, allowing corporations engaged in mineral explorations 100% foreign-ownership. The country is cost competitive and mineral rich, hosting 20% of the world’s nickel resources. It ranks 4th and 3rd in the world’s richest mineral resources for copper and gold, respectively. Of its 9 million hectares identified to contain rich metallic mineral deposits, mining permits cover only 1.4%.
